Documas is a way of recording and monitoring the application process for new Clinical Studies.

Milestones

As studies progress through the application process, milestones are recorded and used to track progress. The dates of these milestones can be used to produce alerts and management data.

A window on the process

Researchers and other interested parties can use Documas to track the application process. They can view (but not change) study details, documents and messages from administrators. For example a document might be added to a study and then assigned by admin staff to the Principal Investigator, who can then read and reject or approve the draft.

Available over the Internet

Administrative staff and researchers can both log in to review progress using a normal web browser. Documas is based on a MySQL database and also encapsulates a robust Document Management System called Alfresco.
